From the Artist:
I design, weld, cast, sand and finish all the work myself. All of the pieces are constructed using a combination of steel reinforced concrete, polyester resin and finished with automotive base coat/ clear coat. This creates an extremely durable, stable and beautiful result. The physical forms and contours employed are free formed with no stock or dimensioned materials forming the outer surface.
I believe that the aesthetic essence of my work is representative of a new and futuristic world that we are continually approaching. The novel nature of the forms is meant to stand the test of time. All efforts are made to create an enduring and future-relevant experience. This is the reason that all of the materials I work with are indefinitely durable with basic finish maintenance that would be applied to an automotive body. All internal structural elements are ‘sealed within’ the outer skin.
I believe that we will experience a bright and positive future which will continue to solve the problems that the world faces, and do it in such a way as to promote beauty, excitement and optimism as core tenets. My hope and purpose is to engage the general public and bring them ever closer to the world of fine art that we all find so intriguing. I pursue a certain sort of formal seriousness that I believe that even the youngsters will find exciting. By formal seriousness I mean a sense of elegance, simplicity and minimalism that indicates a matured and deeply refined sensibility.
